Fundraiser set to be held for Larry the Downing Street cat

A special quiz night is going to take place to get funds for the proper care of 10 Downing Street’s Official Mouser, Larry.
The expense of caring for Larry has, so far been paid for by David Cameron’s staff, after he was proclaimed a community cat whom belongs to Downing Street, instead of a family cat or even an expense to the taxpayer.
The
fundraising event will take place in the State Rooms at Number 10, to raise money for the expense of Larry’s food as well as cat supplies, and definately will have a unique cat themed quiz round.
Larry was brought in
to trap mice and also rats in the PM’s home, after a number of rodents had been seen scuttling in the background of live news reports. He came from Battersea Cats and dogs Home, and although it took him a while to get his very first catch, he has now settled into life at the well known property.
He’s also rumoured to have
found himself a special female cat, because he has been seen spending some time with Maisy who actually lives in the keeper’s cottage at St James’ Park! Larry has been neutered, so there will certainly not be any kittens.
A
representative for the Royal Parks said: “The Park Manager confirms that Larry does make trips to visit Maisy. The two appear to be content with each other’s company, sometimes enjoying meals together.”
